The campsite is situated on the banks of a man made lake in a region of outstanding beaut with a wide range of facilities to offer: opposite the site, there are family beaches which are ideal for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying the sunshine and alpine scenery. For the more active, the lake caters for a full range of water sports. . Bordering the lake is the river Durance where there are ample opportunities to experience white water rafting, canoeing and fishing. |

Within easy driving distance there is a National Park where it is possible to enjoy mountain walking, climbing and riding. The town of Embrun is strategically placed on the route des Grandes Alpes between Italy and France. Travellers have been stopping here since Roman times. It is an ancient cultural and historic centre with a 12th century cathédral and surrounding medieval buildings. |
